Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Tuesday said the mutual benefit of China's important trade partnership with the United States far outweighed existing trade disputes.
Wen made the remark in a meeting with a delegation of the U.S.-based U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC).
The two sides should resolve trade issues through dialogue and consultation based on the principles of development, equality and mutual benefit, Wen said.
He also expressed appreciation to the USCBC for its efforts to promote China-US relations, calling for Chinese and U.S. trade organizations and businesses to cement communication and cooperation.
Wen said long-term, stable and healthy relations served the two countries' fundamental interests and were a common aspiration of the two peoples.
China would continue to strengthen dialogue with the U.S. in an effort to boost mutual trust and cooperation.
