The Chinese Embassy in Iraq was hit by a stray bullet on Wednesday morning. There were no casualties, reported People's Daily Overseas Edition on Thursday.

At 9:57 am local time, a stray bullet shot into the room of Ambassador Li Huaxin. It penetrated a double-glass door on the balcony, passed through a sofa cushion about 15 centimeters thick and left a 2-centimeter deep hole in the wall. Ambassador Li was working in the room next door when the accident happened.
