Senior Chinese official meets with Indian guest

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with Chief Minister of India's Haryana Pradesh province Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

They spoke highly of the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to India earlier this month and pledged to jointly put into effect the important consensus made by the leaders of both countries.

Wang said China and India face the same task of promoting national economy and social development. Deepening communication and exchanges would benefit both countries' development and national construction.

Hooda agreed with Wang, saying the Haryana Pradesh government wishes to work with China to consolidate communication and cooperation in the economic and information industry fields.
