The Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECI) on Sunday sent a plane loaded with humanitarian aid to the Philippines to help victims of Typhoon Durian, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The aid includes a water treatment plant, water distribution equipment, tents, blankets, a field hospital, sanitation equipment and medicine.
The AECI, which administers the nation's aid budget, is also sending five people, including a technician and a water treatment expert, to the region on a regular flight on Monday.
Filipino Red Cross figures say that at least 800 people have died or disappeared in the mudslides caused by the typhoon, which hit central Philippines on Thursday.
