President of the Republic of Cyprus Tassos Papadopoulos arrived in Shanghai Monday, starting a five-day state visit to China.

During his stay in China's business hub, Papadopoulos will visit Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and the Shanghai Museum.

With 102 government officials and entrepreneurs accompanying the president, his visit is expected to help boost bilateral cooperation in economy and tourism.

Papadopoulos is paying the visit as guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao.
