PBC to issue Year of the Pig commemorative coins

The People's Bank of China will issue a set of gold and silver coins on December 18, 2006, to commemorate the Year of the Pig. There are 13 pieces in the set �C 7 gold coins and 6 silver �C and they will all be legal tender in the People's Republic of China.

The coins are valued at 200 yuan, 50 yuan and 10 yuan. They will be cast by Shenzhen Guobao Coin Company Limited, Company, the Shanghai Mint, Shenyang Mint, Swaziland Faude and Huguenin Switzerland. They will be sold by China Gold Coin Incorporation.
