font size

President of Cyprus Tassos Papadopoulos left Beijing Friday, wrapping up a five-day state visit to China.

During his stay in the Chinese capital, Papadopoulos held talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, and met with top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao. The two presidents attended the signing ceremony of agreements on health and cultural cooperation.

He also attended a reception marking the 35th anniversary of forging diplomatic ties with China, as well as a China-Cyprus economic and trade forum.

Papadopoulos started his visit on Monday from Shanghai, China's largest metropolis in the eastern coast.
