HK air cargo volume up 8.2 percent in November

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) announced here Monday that a total 244,805 tons of air cargo were handled in November, achieving the highest monthly volume record.

The monthly volume handled in November represented a year-on-year growth of 8.2 percent. Export volume also achieved a record high of 144,828 tons, up 6.7 percent from the same month last year. Import volume grew 4.5 percent year-on-year in November, with 60,568 tons of import cargo being handled.

In the transshipment sector, a total of 39,409 tons were handled in November, up 21 percent year-on-year.

Cumulative tonnage between January and November was 2,330,143 tons, up 5.4 percent year-on-year.
