France's unemployment rate is expected to fall to 8.2 percent in June 2007, a level not seen in more than 20 years, French national statistics and economic studies institute (Insee) said on Tuesday.
According to Insee, the fall in the unemployment rate is due to the creation of jobs and the demographic effects.
In 2005, the growth in the active population was 67,000, which is expected to decrease to 29,000 in 2006 and 7,000 in 2007.
Compared to the 149,000 jobs created in 2005, a total of 243,000 vacancies have been announced in 2006.
Creation of jobs in the commercial sector are expected to reach 138,000 this year compared to the 73,000 in 2005, while those in non-commercial sectors are perceived to reach 105,000.
