500,000 Tibetans to enjoy comfortable life
font size

The Tibetan Aid-the-Poor and Development Office has announced that during the 11th Five-Year Plan, 200 towns and 964,000 poor people will be lifted out of poverty, 500,000 of whom are expected to have relatively comfortable life.

According to the Tibet Aid-the-Poor and Development Office, the agriculture and animal husbandry industry will be at the center of aid-the-poor work. This work will take two directions: it will help people in poor areas to shake off poverty and in more advantaged areas it will help develop specialized local industries.
