Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul-Ilah al-Khatib on Tuesday in Beijing to sign a memorandum of understanding on a bilateral strategic dialogue.

Li expressed concern over the growing complication of issues in the Middle East, and said the only way to resolve these issues should be on the basis of the relevant United Nation's resolutions and negotiation.

Al-Khatib said Jordan was willing to strengthen consultation and cooperation with China.
