China is willing to make joint efforts with Australia for an all-round mutually-beneficial relations of cooperation, said Premier Wen Jiabao Wednesday.

At a meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile, Wen said China and Australia have carried out productive cooperation in various areas in recent years, with bilateral ties becoming closer and closer.

As important countries in the Asia-Pacific region, China and Australia share various common interests and enjoy broad prospects of cooperation, Wen told Vaile, who is also leader of the Australian National Party.

China is ready to join hands with Australia on developing all-round cooperative relations and on safeguarding regional peace and security, Wen said.

He also pledged the Australian National Party to make continued contribution to bilateral ties.

Agreeing upon Wen's remarks, Vaile said it is the consistent policy of the government and all major parties of Australia to stick to the one-China policy.

The Australian National Party will work to enhance the goodwill exchanges with the Communist Party of China (CPC) and help deepen the Australia-China mutually-beneficial cooperation, said Vaile.

Vaile is visiting China as guest of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
