Real estate prices up 5.2 percent in large and medium-sized cities

According to the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Bureau of Statistics, the price of real estate is up 5.2 percent from last year in 70 large and medium-sized cities, but growth was 0.2 percent lower than last month. The price of new commercial housing is up 5.8 percent, but 0.8 percent lower than the growth rate of last month. Viewed by category, compared with the same month of last year, the price of generally affordable housing is up 1.6 percent; standard housing up 6.4 percent; and select, high-end housing, up 5.5 percent.
