Hong Kong residents traveling to Indonesia for holiday or work were advised to pay attention to their personal safety, said a spokesman for the Security Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government Friday.
Some countries had recently issued travel advice to their citizens, warning of the possibility of terrorist attacks in Indonesia, the spokesman said.
"Hong Kong residents who are abroad and need assistance may contact the local Chinese Embassy/Consulate-General in their destination or call the Hong Kong Immigration Department's 24-hour hotline at 852-1868," he said.
