Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Thongloun Sisoulith, vice Prime Minister of Laos, in Beijing Monday.

Thongloun Sisoulith also serves as Laotian Foreign Minister and head of the International Department of Laos' Central Committee.

Wang Jiarui said that China would continue to pursue an independent and peaceful foreign policy favoring peaceful development and global harmony.

The two sides discussed current international situation, the world socialist movement and new economic trends.
