font size

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Donald Tsang left Hong Kong Tuesday for Beijing for a duty visit.

Speaking before his departure, Tsang said he will call on leaders of the central government and brief them on the latest social, economic and political developments in Hong Kong.

He said he would bring up issues of concern to Hong Kong people such as food safety and the influx of pregnant mainland women into Hong Kong. Economic matters like renminbi services and infrastructure would also be discussed.

During Tsang's absence from Hong Kong, Chief Secretary for Administration Rafael Hui will be Acting Chief Executive.
