font size

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong said on Wednesday that China will work closely with Laos to lift their traditional friendship to a new height.

China will make joint efforts with Laos to enhance cooperation in such areas as economy, education, culture and further coordination in international affairs, said Zeng.

Zeng made the remarks while meeting with Thongloun Sisoulith, member of the Political Bureau of Lao People's Revolutionary Party. He is also Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

Thongloun, leading a Lao ruling party delegation, visits China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC). His visit is aimed at exchanging ideas with the CPC on reform and opening-up, economic development and party construction.

The two parties and governments will explore new ways of cooperation to push forward China-Laos relations in a healthy and stable manner, said Zeng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
