Chinese mainland approves 71,414 Taiwan-funded projects

The Chinese mainland had approved a total of 71,414 Taiwan-funded projects by November 2006, involving 99.42 billion U.S. dollars of contractual investment from Taiwan.

A total of 43.72 billion dollars of investment from Taiwan had been actually used, according to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce.

The statistics show the mainland approved 3,319 Taiwan-funded projects in the first 11 months of this year, with 9.73 billion dollars of contractual investment. Actual investment was 1.93 billion dollars.
