It is my great pleasure to extend best wishes to the People's Daily Online Community and the Chinese People as a whole.

The year 2006 saw many important developments as Jamaica and China continued to deepen our cooperation and friendship. Trade and investment links continue to grow and show even greater prospects and cooperation in infrastructure and related projects have been mutually beneficial. In 2007 Jamaica and China will mark 35 years of diplomatic relations, an important milestone in a relationship that is deeply cherished and of which we are very proud.
