Chinese mainland, Taiwan see increasing personnel exchanges

Chinese mainland residents made more than 168,000 trips to Taiwan in the first ten months of this year, up 26.47 percent over the same period last year, according to official statistics.

The full year figure is expected to top 200,000, according to the exchanges bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

Meanwhile, Taiwan residents made 3.74 million trips to the mainland in the first ten months this year, up 6.2 percent year on year. The full year figure is expected to top 4.4 million.
