Three people have been jailed for up to 11 years for running a pornographic website that had more than 73,000 domestic customers, in sentences passed at a court in east China.

The three principals, arrested in September, were convicted of making 130,000 yuan (16,650 U.S. dollars) in profits from pornographic dissemination, the Gulou District Court in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, heard.

Yin Zhong and Gao Xue were each sentenced to 11 years in prison, while Li Guangyue got 10 years jail term.

The court said they rented a server in the United States and provided more than 750 pornographic videos and 11,000 pictures on the "Fengyange" website in July last year.

Yin was an employee in a software company in Beijing, and Gao was a government official from eastern Jiangxi Province. Li was jobless in central Hunan Province before joining the Website.

Eight accomplices were each jailed for seven months.
