This year, 340,000 kilometers worth of new highway has been built, of which 4460 kilometers is super highway. By the end of this year, the total length of highway open to traffic will be 3.48 million kilometers, 45,400 of which is super highway

There has also been a breakthrough in rural highway construction. Some 260,000 kilometers of highway has been built or rebuilt in the countryside.

The Ministry of Communication has declared that over 5,000 kilometers of super highway will be built next year, which ensures completion of the remaining 2385 kilometers of the five vertical and seven horizontal national highways.
