font size

On the 10th anniversary of the completion of hydrology geological survey work across a 9.6 million square kilometer area of China, a database of the results of the survey has been compiled in Beijing using information integration technology.

This history survey was organized by China Geological Survey Bureau and completed by the Institute of Geology Environment Monitoring of China over eight years. The results have now passed an appraisal by experts.

The efforts of geologists over 20 years have revealed the existence of approximately 870 billion cubic meters of underground water in China, of which 290 billion cubic meters will be available for use each year.
