Wreckage of missing Indonesian jetliner found, 90 passengers killed

Ninety passenger were believed to have been killed while 12 others found safe Tuesday morning after Indonesian Adam Air's Boeing 737-400 plane crashed at Rangoan village, Polewali Mandar District, West Sulawesi, on Monday.

"The number of survivors was 12, while the remaining 90 people were estimated to have been killed," Adam Air Public Relations official Gugi said here on Tuesday.

The Adam Air Boeing 737-400 plane, which had 96 passengers and six crew members on board went missing on Monday, and was found in wreckage a day later.

The plane crashed in a mountainous area in Polewali, West Sulawesi. The Adam Air plane was on its way from Surabaya (East Java) to Manado (North Sulawesi) when it went missing on Monday afternoon.
