Gold price higher in Hong Kong -- Jan. 2

The gold price in Hong Kong rose 40 HK dollars to 5,903 HK dollars per tael on Tuesday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 637.6 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 4.04 U.S. dollars at Tuesday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7715 HK dollars.
