The gold price in Hong Kong plunged 112 HK dollars to 5,798 HK dollars per tael on Thursday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 625.41 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 12.57 U.S. cents at Thursday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.782 HK dollars.
