Gold price lower in Hong Kong -- Jan. 5

The gold price in Hong Kong fell 17 HK dollars to 5,781 HK dollars per tael on Friday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 623.7 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 1.71 U.S. cents at Friday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7805 HK dollars.
