Dutch industrial company Stork is to purchase German maintenance firm Turbo Service for 49 million euros (64 million U.S. dollars), Dutch newspaper Trouw reported on Friday.
Turbo Service, which performs maintenance on turbines and generators in European power stations, turns over around 50 million euros (65 million dollars) each year.
Stork said the acquisition would complement the service package offered by Stork Power Service, which provided parts and maintenance to energy producers.
Stork has four products: prints, food systems, aerospace and technical services.
The takeover goes against the wishes of Stork's large shareholders Centaurus and Paulson, who had wanted to sell the technical services and food systems divisions, so that the company could concentrate entirely on its aviation activities, said the paper.
