Romania will host the inaugural Skiboard World Cup, the national Rompers news agency reported on Friday.

The contest, which takes place between February 17-25 in Busteni, Predeal and Sinaia (north of Bucharest), enters the international winter sports circuit.

The event is organized by the World Skiboard Association (New York) in cooperation with the Romanian Ski Federation and the newly-established Sports Association for the Promotion of Skiboard in Romania. The World Cup will be a major breakthrough in promoting skiboarding worldwide.
