The Nepali Congress (NC) would decide the fate of the King by convening its convention or holding its central committee meeting in the near future, a senior party member said on Sunday.

Dr Shekhar Koirala, a central member of the NC, made the remarks while addressing a gathering of municipal workers of Bharatpur in Narayangadha under the peace campaign of the party, national news agency RSS reported.

The Nepali Congress, which is the No.1 party among Seven Parties Alliance in Nepal, would make all its crucial decisions only in the people's interest, he said.
