Pakistan and India are working to finalize three agreements including avoidance of nuclear accidents and visa liberalization, which will be hopefully signed during the forthcoming visit of the Indian foreign minister to Islamabad, officials said Monday.
Indian Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukharjee is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on Jan. 13 to hold talks with his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Ms. Tasnim Aslam told a weekly briefing here.
"The contents of these agreements have been negotiated and agreed between the two countries and if necessary procedural requirements are completed they will be signed during the visit," Aslam said.
To a question, she said both foreign ministers would review the progress of the third round of peace talks between Pakistan and India.
She said Pakistan welcomes interest of international community for encouraging Pakistan and India to resolve the Kashmir issue which is vital for durable peace in the region.
