China opposes US's sanction on Chinese companies
font size

China is strongly opposed to the US government's sanction on Chinese companies, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao Tuesday.

He made the remarks when commenting on the the recent declaration by the US Department of State to sanction three Chinese companies in the pretext that they sold embargoed weapons to the relevant countries.

"We are strongly opposed to this and demand the US side to correct its erroneous act," Liu said at a regular press conference.

It is groundless for the US government to take the sanction according to its domestic law without any evidence, he added.

Liu said the Chinese government has always held the serious and responsible attitude towards the proliferation of the mass destruction weapons, and is against the proliferation activities in any form, by any company or individual, he added.
