Chinese government offers office supplies to DR Congo

The Chinese government on Monday donated office supplies and stationery worth 500,000 RMB (about 64,000 U.S. dollars) to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the presidential office.

Chinese Ambassador Fan Zhenshui and the director of the presidential office Leonard She Okitundu took part in the ceremony.

Fan said the donation of office supplies proved that China was making efforts to strengthen friendship between the two countries. The Chinese government would continue its efforts and push forward the Chinese-DRC relations to a new level, he said.

While appreciating the Chinese government, Okitundu said China has been a good friend of the DRC and these office supplies from China would improve the working conditions in the DRC presidential office.

He also expressed thanks to China's help in building the Ndjili General Hospital in the populous Ndjili district of Kinshasa, which has contributed in improving the medical conditions of the inhabitants of the area.
