Tang Dynasty antiques unearthed in central China
An archaeologist demonstrates a coloured earthen bowl of the Tang Dynasty (618-906 AD) unearthed from an ancient tomb on a construction site of the South-to-North Water Transfers project in Jiaozuo, central China's Henan Province January 9. A total of eight Tang Dynasty tombs were found by workers of the project, and nearly one hundred antique articles were recovered.

Australia releases stamps to mark Lunar New Year
A sheetlet of zodiac stamps released by Australia Post is seen in this handout photo. Australia issued the "Year of the Pig" stamp on January 9, 2007 to celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year. It's the twelfth consecutive year for Australia to publish stamps of animals according to the twelve-year sequence of Chinese Calendar. The years are named for different animals in the order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
