Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Saturday met with a visiting delegation from the Croatian Democratic Union led by its secretary general Ivan Jarnjak.

During their meeting in the Great Hall of the People, Liu said the CPC pays much attention to its ties with the Croatian Democratic Union.

Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, expected the two parties to step up party-to-party exchanges, promote China-Croatia relations and work for the welfare of the two peoples.

He also briefed the delegation on China's economic and social development.

The delegation was invited to China by the International Department of CPC Central Committee.
