China delighted to see progress of Nepal's peace process, says FM spokesman
font size

China was delighted to see the important progress of Nepal's peace process, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao in Beijing Tuesday at a regular press conference.

The Nepali interim legislature was set up on Monday evening after the promulgation of constitution by the former House of Representatives, which was dissolved shortly after its unanimously approval of the interim constitution.

When asked to make comments on this progress, Liu said China welcomed the efforts of concerned parties of Nepal to achieve sustained peace.

China hopes that concerned parities of Nepal would continue pushing for the peace process in a bid to benefit the Nepali people and contribute to regional peace, stability and development.
