A car bomb went off in eastern Baghdad on Sunday, killing a civilian and wounding five, a well- informed police source told Xinhua.
"A car bomb parking near the Beirut Square in the Palestine Street detonated at about 8:00 a.m. (0500 GMT) near a passing police patrol, killing a civilian and wounding five others," the source said on condition of anonymity.
Insurgents frequently attack U.S. and Iraqi security forces, accusing them of collaborating with the U.S. occupation.
