Tajik president ends visit to China

Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov left here Sunday, wrapping up his seven-day state visit to China.

Rakhmonov, who arrived in China's southernmost Hainan Province on Wednesday, visited local botanical gardens and agricultural bases on the island province.

During his stay in Beijing, he met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo.

Rakhmonov started his state visit as guest of Hu on Monday. Prior to Hainan, he also paid a visit to the Three Gorges Dam in central China's Hubei Province.
