China state councilor leaves for WEF annual meeting

Chinese State Councilor Hua Jianmin Wednesday left Beijing for the 2007 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which takes place on Jan. 24-28 in Davos, Switzerland.

Hua, also secretary-general of the State Council, will also visit Austria and Greece at the invitation of the two governments, according to sources with the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
