Chinese NPC delegation ends Myanmar visitThe Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) delegation, led by Vice-Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Li Tieying, wound up a four-day official goodwill visit to Myanmar Thursday. During the visit, Li met with Senior-General Than Shwe, Chairman of the Myanmar State Peace and Development Council (SPDC), in the new capital of Nay Pyi Taw. Li also held talks with Lieutenant-General Thein Sein, Myanmar SPDC First Secretary and Chairman of the National Convention Convening Commission, and the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual concern including the bilateral ties. Li and his delegation arrived Yangon and then Nay Pyi Taw Monday for the visit as the final leg of his three-Asian-nation tour which had also taken him to Nepal and Cambodia. Source: Xinhua |
