CPC senior official meets ROK FMWang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), held talks with visiting Republic of Korea (ROK) Foreign Minister Song Min-soon in Beijing on Friday. Wang said China-ROK relations were faced with an important opportunity for development. The CPC was willing to enhance exchanges and dialogue with all ROK political parties to contribute to bilateral relations and regional peace and stability. Song said the two countries communicated and coordinated well in international and regional issues. The ROK would work with China to promote bilateral relations and achieve common development. Song is on a three-day official visit in China as guest of his Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing. Song also held talks with State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, during which the two sides exchanged views on the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and the resumption of the six-party talks.
