U.S. military reports seven more soldier deaths

Seven U.S. soldiers have been killed across Iraq, raising the U.S. death toll in the past three days to at least 12, the U.S. military said in a statement on Saturday.

Three U.S. soldier deaths were reported in Diyala province, while two in Baghdad and three others at an unspecified location north of Baghdad, according to the statement.

All the seven soldiers were killed by roadside bombs, added the statement.

Since the U.S.-led war on Iraq broke out in March 2003, some 3, 073 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
