A member of Nepal's ruling Seven Party Alliance (SPA) warned of pulling out from the government if the latter did not resolve Madhesi problem soon, local leading media group's website nepalnews.com reported on Sunday.
The top leadership of Nepal Sadbhvana Party (Anandidevi) including its chairperson Anandidevi Singh, vice president Bharat Bimal Yadav, general secretary Rajendra Mahato, co-general secretary Anil Kumar Jha and Govinda Chaudhary and spokesperson Bhogendra Thakur met with Prime Minister Koirala and gave the warning that their party "could take any decision if the Terai problem is not resolved soon."
"The movement of Terai must not be minimized under any pretext, " said Mahato. The NSP-A has one senior minister Hridayesh Tripathy in the current cabinet.
The violent demonstrations led by Madhesi People's Rights Forum 's (MPRF, also called Madhesi Janadhikar Forum) began on Jan. 19. The Forum claimed that one of its members was shot dead by a cadre of the Communist Party of Nepal (formerly known as guerrilla). MPRF later collided with policemen, in which five people were killed.
