The gold price in Hong Kong wentdown 8 HK dollars to 5,974 HK dollars per tael on Monday, according to Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 642.66 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 8.66 U.S. dollars at Monday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.8030 HK dollars.
