China hopes all sides reach agreement on Darfur issue at early date
font size

China hopes all relevant sides take the chance to maintain dialogues to properly settle the Darfur issue at an early date, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said Tuesday.

China has closely followed the Darfur issue, and hopes it could be resolved through political consultations, and concerns of all relevant parties should be addressed, she told a regular press conference

China also hopes the UN Security Council pass a resolution of offering fund to the African Union peacekeeping forces in Sudan as soon as possible, Jiang said.

"China will continue its constructive role on this issue," she added.
