font size

Delphi steering system factory in Tychy in southern Poland is likely be sold to Platinum Equity, which specializes in acquiring and operating businesses throughout the world.

Delphi Corp., one of the world's largest parts manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy in 2005. "This is good news for the Tychy factory, as Platinum Equity is a strong partner. The Polish factory is doing good and prospective business, it has a full portfolio of orders for the coming years," the PAP news agency quoted on Friday Delphi Polska spokeswoman Agnieszka Przymusinska as saying.

Delphi's Tychy factory is the biggest out of its six factories in Poland which employs over 1,000 people.
