Japanese Atsushi Fujita clocked two hours, 10 minutes and 23 seconds to win the Beppu-Oita men's marathon in Oita on Sunday.

The 30-year-old Fujita ran away from Japanese Atsushi Sato and David Kemboi of Kenya at the 38km mark to cross the finish line first.

Sato placed second in 2:11:16, with Kemboi third in 2:11:26.
