Police in south China offer huge reward after one million yuan goes missing

Police in south China's Guangdong Province are offering a 100,000 yuan (about 12,887 U.S. dollars) award for information that leads to the arrest of a driver of an armored bank van, who stole more than one million yuan (128,867 U.S. dollars) when on duty.

Cai Hongjun, 32, who works for an armored bank van company in Dongguan city, is believed to have stolen the money on Jan. 18 after picking up around one million yuan from the Dongguan branch of China Post.

Police found the vehicle abandoned in the downtown area of Dongguan City on the afternoon of Jan. 18.
