China urges all countries to promote Africa's peace, stability
font size

China hopes all countries can do more to promote peace, stability and development in Africa, said a foreign ministry spokesperson in BeijingThursday.

Jiang Yu, the spokeswoman, made the remarks at a regular press conference when commenting on a United States plan to establish a regional command center to oversee its military actions on the continent.

Jiang said China was aware of the plan, and it is the desire of all countries in the region to maintain Africa's long-term peace and stability.

Chinese and African people share a deep traditional friendship. Exchanges and cooperation between China and Africa will promote Africa's peace, stability and development, and be supported by people from both sides, she added.
