The U.S. dollar rose to the lower 121 yen level Thursday in Tokyo.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 121.12-15 yen, up from Wednesday's 5 p.m. quotes of 120.63-73 yen in New York and 120.43- 46 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 120.58 yen and 121.22 yen during the day, trading most frequently at 120.78 yen.

The euro traded at 1.3006-3009 dollars and 157.56-60 yen against Wednesday's 5 p.m. quotes of 1.3006-3016 dollars and 156. 97-157.07 yen in New York and 1.2983-2986 dollars and 156.38-42 yen in Tokyo.
